Eager to gain fame, the group Super Extra Large Funky Fun Zone shot their very first music video in early June in the village of Castin, near Auch.

At the beginning of June, the funk band Super Extra Large Funky Fun Zone wrote a new page in their young history with the filming of their very first music video. Two days during which the seven Occitan musicians of the group, born 5 years ago in the Gers, put on the actor’s costume. “The music video is for a brand new composition that we recorded on the EP which will be released this summer. The title is scheduled to be released on the Internet on July 8 and is called: The Groove”, reveals Quentin Lourties, member of the group.

For a great premiere, nothing was left to chance by the group, which performs at festivals and in bars, starting with the filming location. “What represents the group is a good permanent atmosphere. We are very linked to our region, to the department, to the terroir, to the good life side, ”shares Quentin Lourties, from Gersois, like four other of his partners. The Gers then appeared as obvious in the eyes of the musicians.

Landing of a UFO in a Gers farm

The place determined, just like the setting, namely a farm located in Castin, belonging to Quentin’s uncle, the group was able to consider the scenario of the clip. “We decided to tell a somewhat unusual story. That of four young musicians who are not yet musicians of the group… who are going to witness the landing of a UFO in the garden of a farm. They will decide to approach it and they will be transformed into funk musicians, completely barred, and become members of Super Extra Large Funky Fun Zone, before leaving in search of the last members of the group”, says Quentin Lourties.

The final result will be revealed on July 8. For its part, the group, which has already recorded two albums, wishes to quickly find the Occitan and French scenes, the public… and continue its ascent.
