Donny Kesuma was rushed to hospital due to a heart attack on Saturday (16/3/2024). His son, Ghassani Kesuma, explained that the presenter and soap opera actor had been hospitalized several times due to the same disease.
Ghassani suspects that his father’s heart disease recurred due to an unhealthy lifestyle. He then explained how his father was rushed to hospital last weekend.
“The chronology, towards March 16, he had been feeling sick for a long time and wanted to be treated, but papa said he could still go home. He was treated for a few days and thank God he was able to go home. About 3 weeks to a month at home, but then he didn’t feel well anymore and taken to Carolus Hospital in Salemba,” said Ghassani Kesuma to the media via video call on Sunday (17/3/2024).
After leaving Carolus Hospital, Donny Kesuma was allowed to go home. At that time the test results were good so the hospital allowed him to be treated as an outpatient.
But then he had to be taken to the hospital again because he felt weak and unable to stand.
“After a blood check, his blood pressure was normal, so he was allowed to go home. After he went home, his condition didn’t improve. His hands became swollen, maybe because of the IV drip, then 2 days later he felt very weak. He said he couldn’t stand it anymore and wanted to go to the hospital. He took him “I went to the hospital at 7 am on March 16,” continued Ghassani.
He also explained that there were differences in the actions carried out at the previous hospital and the hospital where Donny Kesuma is currently being treated. Currently, Donny Kesuma is focused on resting so the team of doctors chose to carry out a certain procedure.
“The actions (at the previous hospital) were not like now, where people are now anesthetized and forced to rest. Previously it wasn’t. If for example there was a heart disease and coughing, it disrupted the quality of sleep. This hospital in Bekasi has used several tools to monitor health papa,” he said again.
At the end, Ghassani hoped that his father would recover quickly. Moreover, his father really wanted to go home to his hometown for Eid.
“Of course we hope that papa will get well quickly and all his illnesses will be removed and he will return to his activities especially during Eid. Because there is a moment that papa is waiting for during Eid, namely leaving the city, namely Garut, so hopefully that can happen this year,” he concluded.
