In a few days, the SNCF will offer Ouigo tickets at unbeatable prices. And there won’t be enough for everyone!

The SNCF has decided to spoil the French for this September start. In a few days, thousands of Ouigo tickets at only 10 euros will be offered on the app. We tell you more.

The Ouigos offered by the SNCF have a new look

In a context increasingly conducive to the train, the SNCF aims to increase its offer of Ouigo. The latter has moreover celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 2.

Since 2013, this low-cost TGV offer (with paid options for luggage, choice of seat, etc.) has indeed met its audience. Thus, it is estimated that more than 110 million passengers were transported via this mode of transport.

For two years, with the pressure of inflation, Ouigo has managed to “double its cumulative number of travelers from 50 million travelers in 2020 to 100 million at the end of last year”has explained SNCF in a press release.

In 2022, more than “24 million travelers who have chosen Ouigo low prices”, could we read. This figure has increased, because in 2021, 18 million people have borrowed a Ouigo.

These figures include connections in Europe, in particular Spain where the Ouigo offer was launched in 2021. “According to our customer studies, one out of two travelers would not have taken the train without the Ouigo offer. And one in five travelers would not have traveled at all. This is equivalent to more than 55 million travelers who would not have taken the train if Ouigo”, had explained the SNCF.

A low cost offer that makes people happy

SNCF’s objective is therefore more than clear: the latter want double the number of Ouigo customersby 2023. “We want to double the number of travelers who take low-cost SNCF Ouigo trains. By 2030 »declared the director of TGV-Intercités, Alain Krakovitch quoted by AFP.

To do this, the SNCF will first run more Ouigo trains increasing from 28 to 50 trains during the “mid-life” renovation. That is to say, after fifteen to twenty years of service, of the classic Inoui TGVs which will therefore join the Ouigo offer and which will be replaced by the new TGV M.

The oldest Ouigos will therefore be able to undergo a small facelift to be brought up to the new standards. To attract more profiles, SNCF promises “more comfort”, with improved seats, sockets everywhere, a “conviviality space”, etc.

The trains will therefore have more seats and will also accommodate bicycles. The SNCF intends to multiply the destinations served so that more people is interested in this more ecological mode of transport.

While TGV fares have increased by an average of 5% this year, the SNCF specifies that “more than one in two customers traveled for less than 25 euros in 2022”, on Ouigo.

Ouigo tickets at 10 euros sold by the SNCF

Since good news never comes alone, know that the SNCF is about to offer SNCF tickets at an unbeatable price. As the start of the new school year approaches, the price of Ouigo tickets skyrockets.

While the summer wants to be definitively over, the SNCF has decided to propose an operation “Trainincredible Days”. To celebrate 10 years of its low-cost Ouigo offer, 100,000 tickets will be offered at… 10 euros.

These will therefore be put on sale on September 6 and 7. Besides, cakes may be distributed from Paris Montparnasse trains. And Paris Gare de Lyon on September 7.

In addition, BFMTV specifies that “thousands of tickets at 16 and 19 euros will be put on sale. For trips from September 11 to December 9. By Ouigo High Speed and Ouigo Classic Train ». Here’s a great idea.
