Ghada Bashour responds to her accusation of insulting the hijab: Eat air!

Over the past hours, social media platforms have been buzzing with statements said to have been made by the Syrian actress, Ghada Bashour, in which they insulted the veil.

These statements caused a wave of condemnation through the social media, where some news sites and platforms reported that Ghada Bashour said that “the veil reduces the femininity of women, and it aims to offend the entire Arab community.”

However, the Syrian artist responded to these statements in an interview with the newspaper “Al-Araby Al-Jadeed”, where she denied them altogether, stressing that she did not say or utter them at all, noting that they were written by “Social Media” only.

Ghada Bashour said, “It is impossible to offend anyone or talk in this way about the hijab, so all respect and appreciation to everyone… Unfortunately, all that has been circulated is rumors, we call it colloquially (eating air).”

And she added, in conclusion: “Anyone who finds himself without work, fabricates statements to put them on my tongue, people without taste, who run after rumors about artists in the world and the hereafter, Ghada Bashour will never talk about anyone in this way, I cannot offend anyone with these methods.” .
