The occupants of the motorhome were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The exact circumstances of the incident are still under investigation by the police and the prosecution. As the motorway is closed, motorists heading towards Ostend are advised to take the E40 towards France at Jabbeke and then exit the motorway at Gistel to reach Ostend via the Torhoutsesteenweg.
