Giffey cancels awards ceremony |

Smack for Israel hater!

No celebrations for Israel haters!

Berlin’s Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey (44, SPD) will NOT award the South African lawyer Navanethem Pillay (80) with a Peace Prize. When asked by BILD, Giffey announced that she had canceled her participation and that the award ceremony would NOT take place in the Rotes Rathaus.

A gossip for Pillay, who hates Israel, and the German Society for the United Nations, which wants to honor the lawyer Pillay “on behalf of the state of Berlin” with the Otto Hahn Peace Medal.

Because: Pillay, former judge at the International Criminal Court and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, is a passionate Israel hater and has been committed to slandering and delegitimizing the Jewish state for years!

︎ Pillay compared Israel to an apartheid regime and accused the state of separating people by race. And this despite the fact that around one in five residents of the Jewish state is a Muslim. Arabs serve in the Israeli army, are members of parliament and are judges on the Supreme Court.

︎ Pillay called for sanctions against Israel and supported the anti-Semitic BDS movement. BDS calls for a boycott of Israeli companies, scientists and artists. The Bundestag declared BDS anti-Jewish.

︎ Pillay headed a commission at the UN to investigate an Israeli military operation against Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip. The members also included open haters of Jews: for example, a commission member explained that social media was controlled by an ominous “Jewish lobby” – a classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.

Berlin’s Governing Mayor is now making it clear: This hatred of Israel does NOT deserve a prize!
