The journalist spoke with BioBioChile regarding the end of the morning program, clarifying that it is not an abrupt end, since it was always contemplated that it would end in December 2022.
This Monday, it was confirmed that the morning program on TVN weekends, Have a good weekend, will come to an end after nine months on screen. As BioBioChile was able to verify, the space will say goodbye at the end of December.
According to what was confirmed by this means, the program, which originally had Karen Doggenweiler, Mauricio Pinilla, Paulina Alvarado and Gino Costa as animators, it will not continue in 2023, giving space to another program.
Different means assured that the end of the morning space was due to a decline due to the departure of Doggenweiler for his departure to Mega as well as that of the former soccer player two weeks later. However, in conversation with BioBioChile, Gino Costa dismisses those speculations.
“It was more of a surprise for the press than for the team, because Have a good weekend It was always contemplated until December 31 ”he explained, pointing out that “now it was made public and caused surprise, but it was a project that we We knew from the beginning that it would last until the end of the year”.
Regarding how he saw the nine months on the air, Costa affirms that “we are happy because it was a mission accomplished. We deliver entertainment in a block that is super intended for very hard informationespecially with Rafa Cavada and Sepu at the helm”.
Likewise, the journalist does not stop praising the space, pointing out that “he appealed to people to wake up on a Saturday and, instead of seeing murders or crashes, we delivered a space where we traveled, with culture, memories, interviews and entertainment”.
Regarding the experience of the program with those who were his companions, he recalled that “sharing with Karen again was wonderful, with Mauricio as well. With Pauli we are friends for more than 10 years and we never thought we were going to do a show togetherSo we really enjoyed it.”
“In the program we got along very well, I think we were also moved by entertainment, so allowed us to have a great time. I was lucky to be in all areas, from the informative, the hardest, the education, but I think that entertaining is super challenging, especially in the context where we started, which was March of this year, ”he added.
Regarding his future after leaving Have a good weekend of the screen, Costa assured that “continue with other projectsWe are seeing with the channel where my contribution can be more optimal”.
“We are all going to follow different projects within the channelWe had a great time and it’s an incredible team, super talented. TVN really gambled to create an entertainment space at a time when doing entertainment was doing something super unthinkable”, he highlighted.
Gino Costa and the farewell to Good Weekend on screen
Likewise, the host of the space does not rule out a special farewell on television, pointing out that there will be an episode dedicated to saying goodbye to his viewers.
“It’s going to be a nice farewell, It will be an episode dedicated to that, I imagine it will be full of memories and moments and jokesthat we have millions ”, he shared.
He also stressed that that space “is going to be marked by saying thank you to those who accompanied us from day one.”
“I think it is super important that everyone knows that the Buen Finde brand has been super installed on TVN. It is already ours and that brand of Good Weekend will continue, with other contentbut that good vibes will continue to be present on TVN”, he added without giving further details.
