Gearbox Publishing and Counterplay Games today announced that Godfall: Ultimate Edition will be released on April 7th for Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X as well as in the Epic Games Store and PlayStation 4/5. Godfall: Ultimate Edition contains the basic Godfall-experience that Primal, Lightbringer and Exalted Updates, the extension Fire & Darkness and the previously exclusive Ascended Edition and pre-order benefits.

The God-Like Armor: Players can choose from twelve unique valor cuirasses with different abilities and collectible valor cuirass shards that can be upgraded as they level up, unlocking Exalted and Noble valor cuirasses. Players can master all five weapon classes, each with their own playstyle and variety of longswords, polearms, warhammers, greatswords, and dual blades. Upon reaching level 50, players will receive ascended powers and bonuses.
Single player and co-op campaign: The three elemental realms of Aperion can be traveled alone or with up to two other players and players fight until the final confrontation with the fallen knight Macros. Then the enemies Moirax and the Flameblood tribe await them in the deadly realm of fire from the Fire & Darkness expansion. The Exalted Update brings many story updates and improvements that make the experience richer than ever.
A Crafter’s Dream: There’s loot aplenty in Godfall, and the ability to create up to three kits for each valor cuirass and experiment until you find the ultimate god build.
A Variety of Endgame Activities: Group up and take on unique endgame modes including Dreamstones, Tower of Trials, Lightbringer, and the six-player Spirit Realms. Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X players can all dive into the endgame together.
Boost to Max Level: All players have the option to instantly jump to player level 50, which offers plenty of skill points and a range of deadly weapons for your Valor Cuirass.

Xbox exclusive improvements: Godfalls Graphics can be experienced through next-gen enhancements like Variable Refresh Rate and Dolby Vision for HDR-capable displays, resulting in brighter highlights, sharper contrast, and more vibrant colors.

Valorkürass-Splitter
- Each of the twelve Valor Cuirasses now has four unlockable shards, offering new customization options for your playstyle.
- With Shards, Phoenix can more easily ignite enemies with Conflagrate Slash, unleash a cone of fire from her shield, and even revive herself.
Ascended and Noble Valor Cuirass
- Collecting all four shards will unlock the Ascended Form of the Valor Cuirass and a second passive ability.
- After all four shards have been upgraded to maximum level, the Valor Cuirass becomes Exalted, offering a third and final passive ability, as well as graphically new cosmetic options that can be displayed on the Valor Cuirass pedestal in the Sanctum.
Extended Story
- Ravenna and Soras will accompany Orin and fight alongside him in certain storyline missions, providing new inter-mission dialogue in the Sanctum.
- Orin’s corrupted brother Marcos now has a greater presence in the campaign, taunting Orin in storyline missions and increasing the suspense until the final confrontation.
Improved Combat
- All weapons now have powerful timing attacks that can be triggered right after a weapon technique.
- Takedown 2.0 is one of the most requested features by the fans. Players can now unlock a recovery ability that will get them back up faster.
- Added a revive system that allows players to revive each other in co-op.
Reworked bosses of realms
- The sigil mechanic has been removed to simplify the path to the bosses of the realms. Now players can challenge the bosses of the realms right after the story.
- However, each boss of the realm now has three lieutenants scattered throughout their realm. Defeating the lieutenants will remove powerful curses that would otherwise make the fight against the realm boss much more difficult.
Fan-requested comfort improvements
- There’s plenty of loot to be earned in Godfall, and the Exalted Update introduces many new ways to sort and manage the growing inventory.
- Godfall’s new config menu gives players the ability to save up to three builds per valor cuirass, complete with unique skill trees.
Noble Tower of Trials
- Godfall’s new endgame challenge where skills can be tested against enemies that scale up to level 150. There are also multiple bosses that appear at the same time.
- New weapons with triple primary traits for players to earn.
New Ghost Realm mode for up to six players
- Players can team up with up to five other players for Godfall’s largest co-op experience yet.
- Spirit Gaze can be used in battles to uncover mysteries between the material and spiritual planes as players collect ancestral souls.
- Souls of the Ancestors can be used to open the Gate of the Ancestors and face Godfall’s deadliest bosses with unique ghost vision mechanics.
- Shards of the Macro grant powerful buffs that last throughout the Spirit Realm visit.
- New buffs with dual primary traits are obtainable.
