“In your suitcase”, the new show by the Compagnie Rêve Général

A show that echoes current events, since the war in Ukraine. In residence at La Nef in Saint-Dié, from March 28 to April 10, the Compagnie Rêve Générale will offer this show to young audiences, from 3 years old.

“A child must leave his country, must leave his own. What is he carrying in his suitcase? How do you take what you love with you? Those we love? And how, for the children here, to receive this other who arrives with a baggage that can frighten or disconcert…? Suitcases that come alive, little hidden worlds, objects that come to life…

Both musical tale and object theater in which evolve closer to children a puppeteer and an actress-musician, “In your suitcase” is sensitive, luminous, joyful and above all resolutely optimistic on a very concrete subject: welcoming someone who doesn’t look like me…

After Dchèquématte (created in October 2019) and Miran, variations around an absence (created in February 2021), “In your suitcase” is the third part of the Ursari Project, theatrical triptych directed by Marie Normand dealing with exile and particularly of what causes in us the arrival of exiled people.” announces the company about its latest creation.

The play will be performed for the first time April 7 at 7:30 p.m. on free admission, then will be offered the next day, in school performance, to two classes of kindergarten students from the Vincent Auriol school, at 10 a.m.
