DEPUTY Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron opened his voice regarding the ethics trial which he will carry out next week. The former academic claimed he was trying to help an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) whose transfer had been stuck for two years.
“It’s not nitip (employee), what’s the name? There’s a child (Ministry of Agriculture employee) who wants a transfer that hasn’t been granted for two years, he wants to go with his husband. “So, I then conveyed the problem,” said Ghufron at the KPK Council Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25 2024.
Ghufron explained that someone told him that there was a Ministry of Agriculture employee who had to work in a different city from her husband. He was reluctant to detail his identity, however, the person had asked for his duties to be transferred according to his partner’s domicile to the relevant officials at the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to Ghufron, the employee has the right to transfer to the same place of work as her husband based on applicable regulations. Therefore, he asked officials at the Ministry of Agriculture about the problem.
“That this is in accordance with the provisions of her right to request a transfer to join her husband. “That’s all, I have no emphasis and nothing,” said Ghufron.
Ghufron said that his communication with Ministry of Agriculture officials occurred before there was anything special, namely in March 2022. He considered this ethical complaint to be a counterattack.

“Yes, that happened in March 2022, right? Before anything happened, he didn’t make a report, but after he became a suspect, that was what was called a counterattack against me. “When the suspect is suspected, it is reported,” said Ghufron.
Nurul Ghufron will undergo an ethics trial at the KPK Council next week. The problem relates to the abuse of authority regarding the transfer of an employee at the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Yes, the trial starts on May 2,” said KPK Dewas member Albertina Ho in a written statement, Wednesday, April 24 2024.
Albertina explained that Ghufron was actually being complained about together with KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata. However, the colleague’s alleged ethical violation could not be proven to enter the realm of an ethics trial.
