Andrew Wiggins is doubtful for tonight’s game. The Warriors winger has intercostal pain following a shock against LeBron James in Game 5 and on the side of Golden State, we are starting to worry.
Not the best news from San Francisco, at a time when you have to win in LA to top a Game 7: Andrew Wiggins announced as doubtful for Game 6 according to Anthony Slater, insider for The Athletic :
Andrew Wiggins appeared to first show rib discomfort after this box out crack of LeBron James in the middle of the fourth quarter. Kept grabbing at his ribs the next few minutes. Costal cartilage fracture. His Game 6 status is in question.

Taking LeBron James’ elbow in the ribs clearly doesn’t have to be the best feeling in the world. We also see on the short excerpt above that the good Andrew touches the area directly, a sign that the charge has left a good trace. There rib fracture is suspectedan injury that comes at the worst time because the Dubs must imperatively win to force a game 7, but also because Wiggins had just made his best game of these 2023 Playoffs with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in a clear victory for the his.
The solutions – apart from Stephen Curry – are quite rare among golden bridges. Klay Thompson who slams his famous “Game 6 Klay” is obviously an alternative but the Splash Bro remains irregular and struggles to find his true level. And what about Jordan Poole who totally messed up his Playoffs going from an average of 20 points in the regular season to 10 tiny pawns in postseason, hard hard.
