Nalla Nilavulla Rathri OTT: ‘Nalla Nilavulla Rathri’ directed by debutant Murphy Devassi and produced by Sandra Thomas and Wilson Thomas under the banner of Sandra Thomas Productions has reached OTT. ‘Nalla Nilavulla Ratti’ is a film with a large star cast including Chemban Vinod Jose, Baburaj, Jinu Joseph, Binu Pappu, Ronnie David Raj, Ganapathy, Nitin George, Sajin Cheruka.
Four five friends from college started a business in the field of organic farming. There are some conceptual confusions and differences of opinion among them. As part of their business getting bigger, they reach an estate bungalow in Shimoga under the guidance of another friend. The story moves forward with some unexpected developments that they encounter on the moonlit night of their arrival. The story progresses through many layers of human beings like jealousy, grudge, greed, competition, helplessness and goodness. The story of the film unfolds through the strange events that follow.
“Detailed and nuanced character presentation, multi-layered plot twists, mystery that spans from Kanthallur to Shimoga, possibilities of giving thriller films a markable ground… Murphy Devasi’s Nalla Nilavulla Ratti was initially a film that was well suited to the nature of a thriller. Later, the movie changes to the nature of slasher movies, which are not so well known in Malayalam, and a little survival thriller. With this, the rhythm that has been going on till then gets out of hand and does not reach the character of the slasher movie. ‘Nalla Nilavulla Ratti’ also joins the group of films that started off promising and ended up going nowhere,” said Aparna Prashanthi in the Indian Express review.
The film’s screenplay and dialogues were prepared by director Murphy Devassi and Praful Suresh. ‘Nalla Lalavulla Ratti’ is also the first film of Sandra Thomas Productions. The cinematography of the film is by Ajay David Katchapilly. Editing- Shyam Sasidharan, Music Direction- Kailas Menon, Action Choreography- Rajasekharan and Art Direction- Tyagu Tavanur.
The film has started streaming on Amazon Prime. The film started its digital streaming on the occasion of Onam.
