Al-Marsad newspaper: Last week, the Council of Ministers approved the national policy to encourage equal opportunities and equal treatment in employment and occupation in Saudi Arabia.
The national policy granted those previously imprisoned opportunities to obtain a job, according to rules, according to “Okaz”.
The national policy to encourage equal opportunities and equal treatment in employment and occupation covers all those subject to the provisions of the civil service system and the labor system, and includes all government agencies and private and third sector establishments. It aims to eliminate any discrimination in employment and occupation.
The Ministry of Human Resources will implement policy governance, define and coordinate roles between the relevant government agencies, and follow up on the implementation of the policy by establishing a parity department that enjoys the powers that enable it to play its role, including periodic review of legislation, programs, and any other regulatory provisions related to encouraging equal opportunities and treatment. Employment and occupation, and suggest the necessary amendments in this regard in accordance with the legal procedures.
