OnePlus has also released a first pair of inexpensive headphones, the Nord Buds, which we really liked during our test. The brand is renewing the experience with a second generation: the OnePlus Nord Buds 2, true wireless which is inspired by the first model, but does better by offering noise reduction. Already at an attractive price, we find them today at half price.

Comfort and lightness
Very similar to previous models, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are in-ear headphones with stems, with silicone tips that fit directly into the ear canal. Compact and lightweight with a weight of 4.7g per earphone, these are true wireless comfortable to wear, even after a few hours of use. They are also resistant to drops, splashes and perspiration thanks to their IP55 certification.
To enjoy your music, know that during our test, the headphones were able to last 5 hours 40 minutes with the volume at 60% and noise reduction activated. A decent score, but rather low compared to the competition, whose autonomy generally exceeds six hours with ANC. The storage box remains compact and easy to slip into a pocket and thanks to it, the autonomy can increase up to 36 hours without ANC and 27 hours with it. For recharging, allow just one hour for a complete charge from 0 to 100%.
Headphones that do the job for the price
Absent on the first generation, active noise reduction is present on the second. Given the price at which they are offered, you should not rely on them to reduce the most occasional sounds or the most serious frequencies. This noise reduction is correct and sufficient to allow you to enjoy your music or podcasts without having to turn the volume too high. They also offer a transparency mode which is convincing, even if some sounds are slightly muffled.
On the audio side, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 offer catchy sound with effective bass and low mids and well-prominent voices. Be careful of music with several instruments which gives a slightly more messy final result. At this price, you will have to make do with the SBC and AAC codecs, which will however be sufficient if you listen to your songs on streaming platforms.
