Soon, Quebecers will have to close the windows to avoid being cold inside their homes. COVID is unfortunately still a reality, and the virus continues to spread. However, rapid tests are rare… or very expensive!
Interviewed in Alexandre Dubé’s podcast episode, on the platform QUB radio, microbiologist-infectious disease specialist Dr Karl Weiss is clear and unequivocal: the government must absolutely review its strategy. According to him, prevention remains the best weapon to counter the virus. Additionally, millions of tests are currently sitting in government warehouses.
“We bought millions of tests which are expiring,” he lamented.
Dr. Weiss fears that the public will learn in a few years that all of these tests ultimately ended up in the trash. He also discusses wearing a mask, a more than common practice in several countries, but which, here, has become a political tool.
