The summer night gala on June 23rd and 24th kicked off the open-air season at the Wolkenturm.
GRAFENEGG. The open-air season started on June 23rd and 24th with a brilliant program at the summer night gala. At the Wolkenturm, soprano Marlis Petersen, bass-baritone Erwin Schrott and the young trumpet virtuoso Selina Ott enthused with well-known melodies and arias from Richard Strauss to Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and Gounod’s “Faust” to “Bésame mucho”. For the Tonkunstler Orchestra under chief conductor Yutaka Sado, the concert marked the start of their summer residence in Grafenegg. Somewhere over the Rainbow ended with soap bubbles rising. The evening was moderated by Teresa Vogl. 3Sat shows the summer night gala on July 16 at 9:45 p.m.

The 16th Grafenegg Festival once again offers a variety of the highest musical quality. A concert performance of Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Fidelio” with Anja Kampe and Jonas Kaufmann in the leading roles will be heard at the opening on August 13th.
The summer concerts (July 2 to August 6, 2022) and the Grafenegg Academy concerts (July 17 and 24, 2022). On July 2nd, the Tonkunstler Orchestra will impress with conductor Domingo Hindoyan at the Wolkenturm. The Spaniard María Dueñas can be heard as a soloist.
