The performance report recently did not even begin to meet expectations. After Sunday’s 2-3 defeat in Yverdon, those responsible at the club were forced to act. The Bern native, who previously worked at FC Winterthur, took up the coaching position at the Grasshoppers in the summer as the successor to Giorgio Contini with a contract valid for two years. The former striker, who now works as an assistant to national coach Murat Yakin, quit his job at the end of last season “due to a lack of strategy”.
