During her childhood and adolescence, Camilla Gallapia grew up with an alcoholic mother. She recounts her daily life as the child of an alcoholic and the consequences of this situation in her comic strip Fille d’alcoolo, published by Larousse in 2023.
When she was nine or ten years old, Camilla discovered that her mother was alcohol dependent through her big sister who tells her: “Mom has a problem with alcohol, but don’t worry, it’s over.”.
