O Chery group participated in the Global Innovation Conference, held in Wuhu city, Anhui province. In this sense, the company announced some new features, with emphasis on the creation of a new internal brand, called Kunpeng, which should focus on the production of new solid-state batteries.
As reported by the portal Greenmovecomponents must be manufactured for energy densities of up to 400 Wh/kg. In this case, it is possible that we will see a prototype being presented at the end of this year. By 2025, the idea is that this technology will reach 600 Wh/kg.
Still, traditional batteries with liquid electrolyte must also be produced, but with higher performance than usual. These components will have a charging capacity of 6C, taking 1/6 of an hour to be fully charged. Likewise, the company showed large-format cylindrical cells.
