GTA VI will be in Miami and will be starred by a woman

The Grant Theft Auto saga is undoubtedly one of the most recognized in the Gaming industry and its next installment, “GTA VI”, will still be a long time coming. According to its developers, the game could be available as soon as 2024, but with the reputation of Rockstar Games, its launch window will most likely be extended.

A new report by Jason Schreier of Bloombergreports that a woman will be one of the protagonists of this new installment, she will have Latin descent and the game will be set in “Vice City”, a fictional city that refers to Miami.

It’s not the first time Grant Theft Auto fans would visit this fictional city, because. The fifth title in the saga, “GTA: Vice City” had already laid the groundwork for the location. Said delivery had a setting of the halves of the eighties and Tommy Vercetti was its protagonist.

The report also mentions that the story will be influenced by Bonnie & Clyde; plus there was a plan to allow GTA VI to have “large portions of North and South America”, but this was scrapped by Rockstar Games and they decided to focus on the fictional version of Miami.

However, they ensure that the game map is bigger than the previous one and will evolve over time, adding new cities and missions.

Rockstar Games made a change in work culture to lay the foundation for GTA VI.

According to Schreier, “Rockstar Games has spent the last four years overhauling its culture and working to become a friendlier and more progressive company,” due to complaints from its staff in 2018.

They decided to fire the management responsible for these abuses and promised to reduce overtime.

On the other hand, they have decided to remove transphobic jokes in GTA V and canceled a game mode for GTA Online titled “Cops ‘n’ Crooks”, after the protests caused by the police aggression against George Floyd.

Finally, employees say that morale within the company is high at the moment and that the changes they have made in recent years have been completely positive.
