Virtual reality and augmented reality appeared about thirty years ago. Following their development, the concept of Metavers emerges, with new uses for our society and new questions. This webinar aims to define and distinguish these three domains of VR, AR and metaverse.

Led by Philippe Fuchs, former professor of Virtual Reality at the Ecole des Mines de Paris, this webinar clarifies the areas of VR, AR and Metavers. Confusions are indeed not uncommon. These definitions make it possible to provide knowledge in order to analyze present and future uses that will meet real needs for our society, while being economically viable.
This analysis cannot be carried out without a minimum of knowledge on human behavior, in particular sensorimotor and cognitive, with regard to the technological characteristics of the interfaces.
