This Sunday, August 20, is the second round of the general elections in Guatemala. Through this, the former first lady, Sandra Torres, faces the academic Bernardo Arévalo de León for the presidency of the country for the period 2024 – 2028.

The second round comes following no presidential candidate obtained an absolute majority on June 25, since the annulment of the vote led the scrutiny. In addition, various incidents took place, such as the burning of ballot boxes, for which the Supreme Court Guatemala Electoral (TSE) determined a second round.
According to official figures from the TSE, of a population of 17 million inhabitants, around nine million are voters. However, the June 25 elections only had a total of 4.2 million votes.
Where to vote in the Guatemala 2023 general elections
To consult your voting center in Guatemala, enter the site Where You Vote 2023 of the TSE. On this site you will be asked for your date of birth as well as your Personal Identification Document (DPI). Once you enter the data, the system will automatically show you your exact voting location.

Can I vote from the USA? Complete list of voting centers in the United States
If you are from Guatemala but currently reside or are in the United States, you can still cast your vote from abroad. To do this, you must have a current DPI processed at one of the consulates of the American Union. You will also have to be registered or have updated your information before March 26.
