The investigating judge Santiago Bignone signed the prosecution of Guazzora, of recognized Kirchnerist militancy, and after analyzing the evidence in the case, he targeted the journalist for “sexual abuse aggravated by having been committed with carnal access, in ideal conjunction with corruption of minors.” Guazzora’s defense can now appeal that prosecution before the Crime Chamber.

As is known, Justice had ordered the capture of Guazzora last August, and when the days passed with no news about his whereabouts, a reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.

The search was carried out by the Secretariat for the Capture of Fugitives (Secap), which depends on the Specialized Fiscal Unit in Complex Criminal Investigation (Ufecri), headed by José María Campagnoli. Finally, the Federal Police arrested him in a house in the Buenos Aires town of Merloowned by a friend of Guazzora, and as indicated, the journalist was found using the geolocation of some of his phone calls.
