A DAY before Eid al-Fitr or Idul Fitri 1445, the majority of food prices experienced an increase in the average region of Indonesia, on Tuesday (9/4). According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel, Tuesday 9 April 2024 as of 13.05 WIB, price increases occurred for eleven food commodities such as premium rice, shallots, bulb garlic, curly red chilies, red cayenne peppers, pure beef , purebred chicken meat, bulk cooking oil, mackerel, tuna and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Premium rice experienced a very slight increase, namely IDR 10 from yesterday’s price to IDR 16,120 per kilogram. Then shallots experienced a significant increase of Rp. 1,320 to Rp. 43,780 per kilogram, followed by the price of garlic increasing by Rp. 660 to Rp. 43,500 per kilogram.

Furthermore, curly red chilies experienced a quite significant increase, namely IDR 2,240 from yesterday’s price to IDR 57,770 per kilogram, on the other hand, red cayenne peppers also experienced a quite significant increase, namely IDR 2,860 from yesterday’s price to IDR 58,300 per kilogram. .

Then, pure beef experienced a fairly high increase of Rp. 3,390 from yesterday’s price to Rp. 144,660 per kilogram, followed by purebred chicken meat which also experienced an increase of Rp. 1,000 to Rp. 40,300 per kilogram, as well as the price of bulk cooking oil which rose. thin IDR 30 to IDR 15,970 per liter.

Meanwhile, the price of mackerel rose by Rp. 120 to Rp. 37,450 per kilogram, while the price of mackerel rose quite high at Rp. 1,030 to Rp. 32,820 per kilogram, finally packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) rose slightly by Rp. 10 to Rp. kilogram.

The food commodities that experienced a decline in price were dry soybeans (imported), purebred chicken eggs, consumer sugar, wheat flour (bulk), milkfish and fine iodized salt.

The price of dry seed soybeans (imported) experienced a decline in price at IDR 40 to IDR 13,200 per kilogram, for purebred chicken eggs experienced a slight decline at IDR 20 to IDR 30,970 per kilogram, while for consumption sugar it fell at IDR 10 to IDR 17,960 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, wheat flour (bulk) decreased by Rp. 10 to Rp. 10,610 per kilogram, milkfish experienced a significant decrease at Rp. 520 to Rp. 33,560 per kilogram, and finally refined iodized salt decreased by Rp. 20 to Rp. 11,570 per kilogram.

Food commodities ahead of Eid whose prices remain stable include medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil and corn for livestock feed.

Medium rice remained stable at IDR 13,960 per kilogram, simple packaged cooking oil was stable at IDR 17,910 per liter and livestock feed corn was stable at IDR 7,860 per kilogram. (Z-10)
