A 51-year-old woman from France was bitten by a shark off the Hawaiian island of Maui on Saturday. According to local police, her condition is critical. Helpers had already brought the woman ashore and taken care of her wound when rescue workers arrived. The 51-year-old swam or snorkeled regarding 100 meters from shore.
