The Japanese company ispace hoped to be the first private player to land a craft. But its Hakuto-R lander probably crashed, admitted the company which lost all contact with its machine, explains the press agency Archyde.com.

Hakuto-R was launched to the moon last December by a Falcon 9 rocket from Space X. Since then, it has been in orbit around the natural satellite of the earth. The company would have lost contact with him an hour following the start of its descent towards the lunar surface which began on Thursday, April 25.

ispace, whose raison d’être is to sell lunar rovers, other payloads and their data, floated on the Tokyo Stock Exchange two weeks ago and is now seeing its stock yoyo as its tests progress.
