On the program, new cardsfrom game modes and some changes. Of course, a new Battle Pass will be there and the developer has taken the time to detail it.

Roadmap Halo Infinite: Season 2 will last 6 months, Coop and Forge planned for the start of the school year!

The story trailer for season 2

In a video of more than an hour, Brian Jarrard, Joseph Staten, John Junyszek and Jerry Hook spoke about some new features of season 2. If we knew that they were going to unveil the new Battle Pass, they also took advantage of it to show off the Season 2 story trailer, new map images, and a mystery trailer.

The story trailer (37:16) allows us to find Laurette Agryna, a familiar face that you have already seen at the academy or in the season 1 trailer.

The UNSC soldiers are alarmed by the arrival of a more than damaged Phantom. Laurette immediately understands that these are “Wolves” returning from hunting. As a doctor prepares to remove the chip from a “corrupt” Wolf, Laurette stops him at the risk of seeing the soldier die and losing all his data, which seems to be precious.

For the moment, it is difficult to understand where these scripted trailers tend; however, it’s a safe bet that 343 Industries is up to something.

The Battle Pass shines

What interests fans of the license is clearly the content that will be offered in this second Battle Pass, and as much to say that there is something to be reassured about.

Before getting into the details, 343 Industries takes the time to show off the ability to switch between Battle Passes to choose which one to progress through (54:30). The developer had promised this feature long before the game was released. Since the Battle Passes never expire, it will be possible during Season 2 to continue advancing in Heroes of Reach and even to purchase the Premium content.

Taking a closer look at the new Battle Pass soberly called “Lone Wolves”, we see that the developers have indeed integrated credits to win. This means that players will be able to afford skins in the store with money already invested, or they can simply keep them to afford the Season 3 Battle Pass at no additional cost.

In addition, we note that the quality of the free elements has clearly increased. 343 Industries had promised in order not to frustrate the players as was the case in season 1. On the side of the elements to obtain via the Battle Pass Premium, we see that 343 Industries wanted to bring an aesthetic new to Spartans, in particular with the possibility of wearing parts of Elite skeletons, or while being surrounded by magnificent effects.

A mysterious teaser during the presentation

If the presentation is rather concrete, a small event came to disturb the members of 343 Industries (1:05:27). Indeed, we can discover a video in which a computer system seems to be attacked with the aim of stealing the data contained therein.

It’s hard to know what it is exactly. It’s a safe bet that this is the first teaser of a new mode. On the other hand, it is difficult to know if it concerns season 2, or if it aims to start communication around a certain Battle Royale which could be released at the end of 2022.

Availability time

We won’t have to wait very long before we can enjoy season 2. Indeed, it will be available on May 3, in other words next Tuesday.

For the most impatient, 343 Industries has also delivered a map of the world which allows you to know precisely at what time it will be possible to enjoy it. It is therefore from 8:00 p.m. French time that players will be able to enjoy the new content, including the Catalyst (8:34) and Breaker (42:10) cards which are still illustrated via short extracts.

Brian Jarrard also takes the opportunity to remind you that there will be magnificent skins up for grabs during the Halo Championship Series which will begin tomorrow! We let you discover all the details on this subject in our dedicated article.
