Hamburg: In the hotel on the Reeperbahn – party ends fatally

On Tuesday evening, a drug party apparently got out of hand in a hotel on the Reeperbahn. According to initial information, at least three people were seriously injured and one dead.

The emergency call came in at around 6 p.m. at the fire department’s operations center. The caller reported several unresponsive people in a room in the four-star hotel “Arcotel Onyx”, which is located right next to the “Dancing Towers”.

First, according to the fire department, two ambulances and an ambulance arrived. When they arrived at the scene, more paramedics were called in to help, because the picture that the rescue workers saw there was said to have been frightening.

As MOPO learned, the rescuers also treated three unresponsive people with drug intoxication – a 14-year-old girl and two men aged 20 and 21. The 14-year-old and the 21-year-old are in mortal danger.

According to the first findings of the police, four men and the young woman are said to have stayed in the hotel room booked for several days and consumed drugs. One of the men is said to have left the room during the day. On his return he noticed that one of his companions had died in the meantime and informed the hotel staff, who then called the rescue services.

The body was taken to the Institute for Forensic Medicine for detailed examinations. The two men and the woman were transported to hospitals.

The Reeperbahn was partially closed during the operation. On the fringes of the event, the police are said to have stopped a car with their guns drawn and arrested three men. Whether there is a connection with the incident in the hotel is unclear. The MOPO continues to report.
