Haniyeh: Israel’s crimes in Gaza reflect its strategic failure to achieve its goals

Gaza – The head of the political bureau of the Palestinian faction movement, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that Israel’s massacres and crimes in Gaza reflect its strategic failure to achieve its goals and “it has not and will not eliminate Hamas and has not and will not recover the prisoners except through an honorable deal.”

Haniyeh spoke, addressing “the entire nation,” that the ongoing genocide requires a different stance from the past six months.

He pointed out that Israel, which is considered the “spoiled child” of the West, is no longer what it was, and its image has been shattered, and that what is happening in the corridors of diplomacy indicates Israel’s unprecedented isolation.

Regarding the killing of 3 of his children and the same number of his grandchildren in an Israeli strike in the Beach camp in Gaza, Haniyeh explained that “the occupation media said that killing children and grandchildren is to pressure the Palestinian factions to change their position in the negotiations… and this will not happen.”

He stressed adherence to the necessity of declaring a permanent and clear ceasefire in Gaza.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday, Thursday, that the death toll from the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip had risen to 33,545, the majority of whom were children and women, since October 7.

On the Israeli side, the families of the Israeli prisoners said in a press statement last Wednesday, “The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is sabotaging the hostage deal and sacrificing them.”

The Israeli army is still continuing its bombardment of various areas in the Gaza Strip, despite the recent UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
