Zelensky admits: “Without Western assistance, we will lose lands and individuals.”

Ukraine – Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky admitted yesterday, Thursday, that Kiev will continue to lose more territory and soldiers if its partners do not provide it with the necessary assistance.

Zelensky said during a conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in the city of Vilnius: “A detailed map for ending the war will be drawn up at the peace summit planned for the political settlement of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.”

He added: “It will be determined how to force Russia to take steps for a just peace…but if there is no help, it will be very difficult for us. We will lose individuals, we will lose our soldiers….” The issue is not only about land, the issue is about individuals…and land is also important to us.”

Zelensky continued, alluding to the lack of political will among Kiev’s allies and the delay in providing assistance: “The reality must match the words.”

The Russian Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, confirmed on Tuesday that Russia had requested a new Security Council meeting on Friday on the issue of Western arms supplies to Kiev.

Moscow asserts that arms supplies to Ukraine are inconsistent with the settlement, and makes NATO countries directly partners in the conflict, not only by providing weapons, but also by training personnel in Britain, Germany, Italy and other countries.
