In another development, Mr. Do Anh Tuan – The head of Sunshine Group has submitted his resignation as Deputy General Director of Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Kienlongbank) from March 6, 2023, due to personal reasons. Previously, Mr. Do Anh Tuan was appointed as Deputy General Director of KienLongBank from September 2021.
It is known that Mr. Do Anh Tuan was born in 1975 in Thanh Hoa, graduated from University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) majoring in information technology engineering. Mr. Tuan is known as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunshine Group Joint Stock Company (Sunshine Group) and is the leader of many other businesses in the Sunshine ecosystem such as KSFinance, Sunshine Homes.
In 2016, Mr. Tuan decided to establish Sunshine Group Joint Stock Company with an initial charter capital of VND 300 billion. By the end of 2019, the charter capital of this group increased to VND 8,500 billion.
Sunshine Group operates under the model of a multi-industry corporation with many fields such as real estate, technology, construction, education, trade and services, healthcare and television. In particular, the real estate segment is the key field of the group.
Referring to Sunshine Group and the chain of projects stretching from North to South, Mr. Do Anh Tuan – the founder of the company. In which, two members of the ecosystem have been listed on the floor, including Sunshine Homes Development Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: SSH) and SCG Construction Group Joint Stock Company (HNX: SCG).
In June 2022, Mr. Tuan resigned as Chairman of SCG Construction Joint Stock Company. In his resignation letter, Mr. Tuan said that due to a change in work plan, “it is not possible to arrange time to take on the job as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCG”. According to the financial statement for the first 6 months of 2023, Sunshine Group Joint Stock Company recorded a profit after tax of VND 100.2 billion, up 72% over the same period last year. At the end of the second quarter of 2023, the enterprise has 16,426 billion dong of equity, almost flat compared to the beginning of the year. Corporate liabilities as of June 30, 2023 recorded a decrease to VND 26,955 billion, while at the beginning of the year, it was recorded at VND 32,813 billion.
As of June 30, 2023, the equity of Sunshine Group reached VND 16,426 billion, total assets of the company reached VND 43,426 billion.
According to information from the HNX, Sunshine Group currently has two outstanding bonds, namely SSGCH2126003 and SSGCH2127004 with a total value of 3,000 billion dong. Both lots of bonds have an interest rate for the first period at 11%/year, and the following periods are at a floating interest rate.
As of August 11, Mr. Do Anh Tuan is in the top 10 richest people on Vietnam stock exchange with assets worth 23,332 billion VND, calculated on holding stocks including SSH, KLB, KSF. SCG.
