Books – Youssef Afifi:

The relevant authorities in Giza Governorate continue to implement the works of the Amr Ibn Al-Aas axis, which links the North Ring Road to the South Ring Road, passing through the highest streets of Al-Orouba, Al-Muhawlat, Al-Haram, the printing press, Faisal and Amr Ibn Al-Aas, to reduce travel time and facilitate traffic for citizens.

The implementation of the axis comes within the series of traffic axes being implemented, which reflects the state’s vision towards developing the axis in areas that suffer from traffic densities, and have not been developed for years.

“Masrawy” monitors the most important information about the giant axis, as follows:

1- It is considered one of the traffic solutions to reduce densities and facilitate traffic, including the development of the Anwar El-Sadat axis as a longitudinal axis supporting the Haram and Faisal Streets, especially with the closure of Haram Street to implement the fourth phase of the national subway project, and to facilitate the connection and transfer of reciprocal movement to and from the axis of the team Kamal Amer .

2- The length of the Amr Ibn Al-Aas axis is about 4.3 kilometers.

3- The axis is divided into two directions, in each direction 3 traffic lanes.

4- The axis serves the road in two directions with a width of 11 meters, in each direction 3 traffic lanes.

5- The total of the axle lanes and the two service roads are 12 lanes.

6- The axis links the northern and southern ring road in Giza.

7- It connects the axes of Al-Orouba and Anwar Al-Sadat (formerly Tersa).

8- The Amr Ibn Al-Aas axis crosses Al-Haram and Faisal Streets in the printing area.

9- It is located in the middle of the most crowded area in the center of Giza, in the area between the northern ring road (Saft al-Laban axis) and the southern ring road (Munib – Maadi ring).
