On Saturday, the municipal police of St. Gallen carried out road checks. At one point, she stopped a car with the blue L stuck to the back of the vehicle. A 50-year-old learner driver was behind the wheel and his 51-year-old instructor was in the passenger seat.

Police investigations showed that the 51-year-old man did not have a driving instructor’s license. In addition, the car used did not have the characteristics necessary for a driving school vehicle: it did not have double pedals and did not have additional mirrors.

The learner driver assured that he did not know that his instructor did not have authorization to give driving lessons. The professional, who charged 30 francs per hour of learning, was denounced. An investigation is underway.

By pricing the hour of driving at 30 francs, the 51-year-old man was much cheaper than the majority of other driving schools. The hour of driving is generally charged between 60 and 100 francs.
