After an over-publicized divorce in 2016, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continue to tear each other apart. Today, the two celebrities are arguing over the sale of their French wine estate of Miraval. The actress has handed over documents in which she accuses her ex-husband of physical violence against their children.
The starting point of this new war between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt? The sale of a wine estate in the south of France. Last February, the actor opened legal proceedings against his ex-wife, considering that she had not respected an agreement concluded between them. This stipulated that neither of the spouses could sell their shares of the vineyard without informing the other.
In her counter-complaint of this Tuesday, October 4, Angelina Jolie claims that she had sold her shares to a Russian oligarch, because she did not feel comfortable with the idea of sharing a liquor business with the actor “known for his alcohol addiction problems”. This is what leaked court documents reveal, cited by several American media such as the New York Times and Variety.
“It hurts the family”
Angelina Jolie recounts a violent altercation with Brad Pitt during a flight between California and France in September 2016. The alcoholic actor “strangled one of the children and hit another” and also “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her” before “pushing her against the wall of the toilet”, as the documents reveal. Brad Pitt also allegedly poured wine and beer over the children. At the time, the actress had given the FBI photos of these injuries. Six days after this flight, Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce.
According to relatives of Brad Pitt, interviewed by the American site TMZ, the actor denies these allegations and has taken responsibility for his actions in the past, but has not committed any of those recently mentioned. Still according to these same sources, Brad Pitt would be sad to see that Angelina Jolie “continues to rehash the same allegations”, and believes that adding “constantly inaccurate information to attract attention, it hurts the family. ”
