Following an alcoholic evening, M and J, as presented in court, set out to steal a motorcycle and an electric bicycle from a small village in the Pyrenees.
Their plan turns out to be full of hitches and the two accomplices separate while fleeing. M then returns to his car to bury himself. But after a few kilometers, he hits a plane tree and abandons his vehicle on the side of the road.
He returns to the scene a few hours later, with a friend, to set fire to his wrecked car. Why ? Impossible to say…
Anyway, he asks his companion, the next day, to go to the police to report the theft of his car. A false statement is therefore added to the attempted theft as well as driving while intoxicated.
For all of these facts, M was sentenced by the court to an 8-month prison sentence while his friend, J, was sentenced to 4 months in prison, as reported by our colleagues from La Nouvelle République des Pyrénées .

During the story of the evening, everyone quickly understands that the two men acted under the influence of alcohol and that none of this was organized. However, this does not justify such behavior, and it excuses it even less.
