Oleg Tabakov Anton Tabakov was the idol of all girls in the 90s, but left the industry for the restaurant business.
Back in the 90s, Oleg Tabakov’s eldest son Anton shone on screens and on stage, but unexpectedly went into business and built an impressive restaurant empire. In 2018, Tabakov Jr. left for permanent residence in France, and returned to Russia with his family when Oleg Pavlovich completely gave up. Fans of Tabakov Jr. were perplexed why their favorite left acting – he finally revealed the reasons.
Anton Tabakov admitted that his parents have no direct connection to his acting career. According to him, he got into the industry by chance, which presented itself to the face of a “woman from a film studio” who was walking around Moscow schools in search of a boy to star in the film almanac “Seasons.”
When the time came to choose a profession, Tabakov Jr. realized that, in general, he was not strong in mathematics, Russian language and other subjects, and acting was something that was somehow absorbed into him with his mother’s milk. Tabakov recalls that when entering university, he managed to make several mistakes in just the word “intelligentsia.” In addition, the famous father did not help his son in any way and did not even take him to his course. Nevertheless, Anton’s acting career took off, simultaneously bringing him serious fees.
“Many of my shootings happened not out of love for cinema, but out of a banal desire to make money. Because when I was young, I was given a higher rate than my mother, although she was an honored actress with enormous experience,” recalls Tabakov Jr.
Over the years, mercantile interest led Anton Tabakov to the fact that there are areas where much more money is circulating. So the decision was made to go to “big business”. For many years, the most eminent and famous people of this world visited Tabakov’s clubs and restaurants. Now Anton is busy with his grandchildren and family, and keeps his former glory in warm memories.
