A Colombian man was arrested in the Valparaíso commune with 7 firearms of different calibers in his backpack after fleeing from the police on a motorcycle. Experts assured that the man could have tried to sell the weapons illegally or transport them for the protection of this weaponry.
Within the framework of the preventive patrols carried out by Carabineros in different areas of the Valparaíso commune, police personnel belonging to the O’Higgins Tenure, while they were traveling through the Santos Ossa ascent, they spotted a person driving a motorcycle against traffic. “Given the amount -of weapons- that the individual was bringing, it would be an arms trade. Unless it also belongs to a criminal organization and they have been changing weapons from one place to another to protect this weaponry,” Ovalle said.
