He was homeless- In and out of jail 2024-03-28 19:57:34

Ben Pearson became an entrepreneur according to Sun, with a successful empire promoted by Harvey Price.
The 30-year-old, who hails from Scunthorpe, Lincs, UK, pitched his XXL clothing business on Britain’s Dragons’ Den and won over viewers with his shocking story.

Ben, who has been diagnosed with autism, took on Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Steven Bartlett and Touker Suleyman and won over viewers with his inspirational rags-to-riches story.

He spoke of his childhood spent in an institution, then confessed to being in and out of institutions and prisons for young offenders, before finally being found sleeping on the street.

In 2015 he sought help, got treatment and got his life back on track and soon after Ben started building his company Big Clothing 4 U from his…bedroom.

As he told Dragons’ Den he was “inspired by fashion and a gap in the market”.

“I’ve always loved business, but the inspiration came from the fact that when I was 30 I couldn’t find clothes.”

He started selling clothes size 2XL – 8XL on Ebay and Amazon until he collected 2.9 million pounds in 2021 and his profit reached 3.5 million in 2022.

Unfortunately, his attempt to win the support of the entrepreneurs in Dragon’s Den did not go as he expected, as they rejected his request asking for 150 thousand pounds for his business.
