A 28-year-old suspect was accused this Thursday of having carried out a string of extortions in the name of Los Monos against those responsible for a well-known company that operates in Puerto Norte and Miami, United States. However, as the prosecutor of Shootings Pablo Socca was able to establish, was a relative of one of the victims who received intimidating calls and messages.

Leonardo Damian Prado was charged for having communicated with the company authorities, whom he extorted from November until now through messages and calls, where demanded payment of eight thousand dollars in exchange for attempting against the lives of the owners or their relatives.

In all communications, the suspect indicated that he worked for Ariel Máximo “Guille” Cantero, leader of Los Monos, and gave very precise data on the victims. However, the information was obtained because they were people from whom he knew his movements.

Prado was arrested last Tuesday in Pasco at 4600 during raids carried out by the Extortion Brigade of the Criminal Investigation Agency. He already had a federal case against him and now he will have to face a new one, since he was arrested with 73 ecstasy pills, a wrapper with the narcotic substance “crystal”, mushrooms and “Tusi”drug mediatically known as pink cocaine.
