Health Canada Recalls Four Products Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

Health Canada has issued recalls for four products sold in the country due to fire and burn hazards, advising consumers to “immediately stop using” the affected items. The coordinated safety action involves a sterilizer dryer, battery packs, and power banks.

Sterilizer Dryer Recalled Due to Overheating

A Baby Brezza SuperFast Sterilizer Dryer is being recalled because it can overheat when plugged in and in use, posing fire and burn hazards. The recall involves model number BRZ0083 and UPC 886267008313. The affected items were sold in Canada between September 2023 and November 2026. Of the 6,001 units sold in Canada, there were 20 reported incidents of overheating and melting. As of Oct. 29, no injuries were reported. The Quebec-based importer, EI Brand Management Inc., can be contacted at [email protected] for a free replacement.

Battery Packs Recalled Over Fire Risk

Bose S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ System Battery Packs are also being recalled due to fire and burn hazards. The continued operation of the affected battery packs as they age exposes the lithium-ion cells to potentially damaging operating conditions, posing potential fire and burn hazards, according to Health Canada. The affected battery packs have serial numbers starting with 083723078352, 084105078591, 078592084106, or 086409. The S1 Pro packs were sold between April 2020 and May 2024, while the S1 Pro+ packs were sold between June 2025 and July 2026. There were no reported incidents or injuries in Canada as of Oct. 5. Consumers are advised to “immediately remove and stop using” the battery packs and can contact the Massachusetts-based Bose Corporation at 1-800-869-2114 for a replacement.
