Health Centers received equipment for cardiovascular diagnosis

Hospitals in the interior and primary care centers received equipment to increase the capacity for care and prevention of cardiovascular diseases provided by the REDES Program. Ultrasound machines were also delivered to hospitals in the provincial health network that will contribute to the control of post-covid 19 patients.

The Minister of Health, Natividad Nassif, led a working meeting with directors of hospitals in the Capital, Banda, the interior of the province and APS, in which 25 cardiac Holter monitors, 36 electrocardiographs and 2 ultrasound machines were delivered. The coordinator of Networks, Dr. Laura Guevel, the directors of the Interior, Dr. Graciela Alzogaray and of Community Health, Lic. Gonzalo Terán, as well as Dr. Mauro Ruise, members of the Networks team and the chronic disease program participated. .

“The objective of incorporating this equipment is to continue strengthening the capacities of each of our hospitals and primary care centers to carry out a quick, safe and timely diagnosis on site and, if necessary, carry out interconsultations through the Telehealth tool or referral to centers of greater complexity, whether pediatric or adult”, explained Ms. Nassif.

He also pointed out that this equipment is aimed at guaranteeing continuity in the care of susceptible populations, including people with chronic non-communicable diseases and cardiovascular control of people who suffered from COVID and have been left with sequelae.

Cardiologist Dr. Mauro Ruise recalled that chronic non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, among others, are the first cause of death beyond the pandemic, in adults. “We seek to promote prevention through various actions: training, early diagnosis, promotion of healthy habits to reduce cardiovascular events,” he indicated.

The Networks Program contributes to the organization and strengthening of care networks, improving the operational capacity of health centers and the accessibility of the population to health care.
