Health learns about union needs in the nursing sector

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Vice Minister of Comprehensive Health Care and Social Welfare, Santiago García Destéfano, met with representatives of the National Nursing Federation (Fenae), to address the concerns of the nursing union.

During the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, the vice minister listened carefully to the concerns presented by the union representatives and promised to convey them to the Minister of Health, in order to find effective solutions.

«For us, the nursing union is of utmost importance. I want to assure you that your concerns will be reported to the Minister,” said Dr. García on the occasion.

García highlighted the important work carried out by nurses in the health care of the population, and underlined the ministry’s commitment to the sector, even stating that personalized spaces for nursing are prioritized in current construction sites in different services of the country.

“The minister is deeply committed to the well-being and recognition of the nursing union,” said García Destéfano. “We are willing to maintain an open and constructive dialogue to move forward together in improving the health system.”

As a result of the meeting, it was agreed to hold a next meeting, the date of which will be confirmed soon, with the aim of following up on the proposals raised by the Fenae representatives, reported from the health portfolio.
