The delivery was difficult, but following seven years of work, the GHT hospitals in Provence seem to have a bright future. GHT, as a territorial hospital group, an acronym not yet in everyday language. These new entities wanted by the Touraine law of 2016 to network the territory, are nevertheless a key element of tomorrow’s health, in a context where the needs of the population are increasing while medical resources are becoming scarce. Supposed to “strengthen cooperation between public hospitals”, the GHTs must above all “guarantee all patients better access to care”.
