The Ministry of Health and Population stated that primary health care can deal with 70% of services without the need to go to other levels. The ministry said that primary care is the actual engine for comprehensive health coverage.
The Ministry added that there are 5,426 primary care facilities and comprehensive health insurance governorates (6).
The Ministry of Health stated that the services provided in primary care facilities include the women’s health initiative, the youth and adolescents initiative, medical examination for school students, compulsory vaccinations, the elderly initiative, the upcoming marriage initiative, evaluation, psychological and nutritional support, the anemia, obesity and stunting initiative, audiological examination, evaluation, psychological support, nutrition, maternal and fetal health initiative, medical examination and vaccinations.
