The Ministry of Health and Population affirmed the keenness of the political leadership to pay attention to the family planning file, through specific strategies and standards.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said, “We aim to contribute to solving the problem of high rates of cesarean deliveries, and to qualify midwives to follow up on pregnant women until they reach a safe delivery through doctors.”
And he continued: We aim to provide the necessary medical devices and means of family planning and distribute them fairly to the places where the service is provided, in addition to expanding the number of rural women pioneers, who spread awareness among beneficiaries of reproductive health, and encourage women to have natural childbirth and the extent of its positive impact on the health of the mother and the fetus, which contributes In reducing the rates of cesarean delivery, and cooperation in setting up joint work mechanisms to expand the service of mobile clinics concerned with providing family medicine services.
He explained, “The expansion of the file of the “Knocking on Doors for Family Planning” campaign is being discussed and implemented at the level of the governorates of the Republic, in order to reach beneficiaries in all regions and remote places, and to ensure their access to medical service, which contributes to achieving sustainable development goals in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
