Health: The number of corona injuries decreased by 54% and deaths by 45% last week

This came during the minister’s weekly meeting, Tuesday evening, to follow up on the progress of the ministry’s plan to address the Corona virus pandemic, and to follow up on developments in the epidemiological situation in the governorates, in order to preserve the state’s gains in addressing the pandemic.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, indicated that the minister followed up on the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in all governorates of the republic during the past week, confirming a decrease in the number of infections by 54%, and a decrease in the number of deaths by 45%, in addition to the decrease in the rates of suspected cases. virus.

“Abdul Ghaffar” added that the minister reviewed the occupancy rates in all the ministry’s hospitals from internal beds or intensive care, as well as ventilators for all patients present in hospitals, whether infected with the virus or those suffering from other diseases, as occupancy rates for internal beds reached 29%, and occupancy rates reached 29%. Intensive care 49%, in addition to 24% occupancy rates for ventilators.

And “Abdul Ghaffar” revealed that, in conjunction with the decrease in the rates of HIV infections, the number of hospitals designated for complete isolation was reduced, to only 4 hospitals, including (Agouza, Qaha, Al-Adaysat, and Al-Najila), in addition to reducing the number of partial isolation hospitals for 16 hospitals, including (Sheikh Zayed). Al Nahyan, Nasr City Health Insurance, Al Mataria Educational, Al Haram, Tammy Al Amid, Fayoum Health Insurance, Al Ajami, Al Bagour, Al Kharga General, Sohag Health Insurance, Nasser Central, Kafr Al Zayat, Kafr Al Dawar, Mallawi, Aswan, Baltim).

Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the minister monitored the system of providing medicines, medical supplies, and medical oxygen in hospitals, stressing the follow-up to the professional safety procedures in elevators within all medical facilities, and reviewing maintenance contracts periodically to prevent any accidents, stressing that there is no complacency in taking the necessary measures with those in charge of hospitals that Any accidents related to occupational safety are repeated, and the Minister also directed a review of maintenance work for all ventilators in hospitals.

“Abdul Ghaffar” confirmed that the minister followed up the workflow of the vaccination system with anti-Coronavirus vaccines, and the rates of receiving vaccine doses (first, second, and revitalizing), noting that the daily rate of vaccinations since the beginning of Ramadan ranges from 100 to 150 thousand doses per day, as the minister continued. The progress of the “Knock on Doors” campaign, stressing the continuation of covering the second dose.

In the same context, “Abdul Ghaffar” pointed out that the minister followed up the progress of the projects being implemented in the health sector, directing a study to establish cooperation partnerships between hospitals affiliated with the therapeutic institution and the private medical sector to provide distinguished medical services, and to promote the addition of new medical specialties to those hospitals. The position of supplying ambulances that will work within the presidential initiative “Decent Life”, where 400 cars were received out of 1,000 cars imported from Germany, stressing the need to develop a study to ensure the financial sustainability of operating these cars.

The meeting was attended by the ministry’s leaders and heads of bodies and sectors, with the participation of the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health in all governorates of the Republic through the “video conference” technology.
