health workers will have an increase of 59% in five installments

The Federation of Associations of Workers of the Argentine Health (Fatsa) and the business chambers of the activity agreed this Wednesday in the Ministry of Labor the joint of the year, which contemplated a salary increase of 59% in five tranches.

Labor and union sources reported that the workers -some 300 thousand- will receive 11% in May and the same percentage in June, 19% in August, 9% in November and another 9% in December, with revision in October and February.

Finally, the agreement signed between the union and the companies establishes that a bonus of $6,638 will be paid for the day of the Health worker.

In this way, the national guild led by the co-owner of the CGT, Hector Daersealed an agreement in tune with the one also reached this Wednesday by bank employees and with the one agreed by the Trade union.

The joint ventures closed by these three unions set a high bar for the inflation forecast for 2022.

However, revisions are planned in all cases, in a scenario where it is not very clear what the escalation of prices will be for the rest of the year.

Celebrations and reviews

From the Argentine Federation of Health Providers (FAPS) that negotiated with the Federation of Argentine Health Workers Associations (FATSA) at the meeting convened by the Ministry of Labor, celebrated the arrival of a point of consensus in the 2022 joint venture for the health sector. And with the agreement endorsed, they issued a statement.

“In the meeting he remembered a salary increase of 59%, which will be distributed 11% in May, 11% in June, 19% in August, 9% in November and 9% in December. Also, it was agreed review clause for October 2022 and February 2023,” they detailed.

And they added that “to guarantee the financing of the joint 2022, Resolution 2022-867-APN-MS of the Superintendence of Health Services was ratified, which maintains that the Entities of Prepaid Medicine and Health Insurance Agents (Social Works) deberán increase remuneration values of the medical-assistance benefits provided to their beneficiaries by the providers”.

That percentage increase was set at “at least 90% of your income through prepaid medical fees or joint trade union negotiations, for each period considered”.

They also stated that the Government “undertook through the Ministry of Labor” to uphold the continuity of Decree 300 and The Repro Health“in order to accompany the financing process of a sector of central importance in society and strongly hit by the effects of the pandemic“.

the deal also drew criticism. This was the case of the Chamber of Health Providers of the Conurbano (CAPRESCO).

“The increases that are signed have to allow our clinics and establishment to continue operating and not bring us to the brink of closure. Us we do not set prices“, they warned.

And they argued: “We come from an unprecedented pandemic that increased the crisis in our companies. We have been losing against inflation for years. In 2020 alone, 13 clinics were closed in the suburbs. And this parity is going to leave so many others on the verge of closure“.

“The situation it’s desperate“, they warned. “Not all the private health sector agrees with what was signed,” they insisted from CAPRESCO, the chamber that brings together more than 45 clinics throughout the Buenos Aires suburbs.
