A heat wave (33/48°C) and heavy thunderstorms (20 to 30 mm) are expected from Saturday to Monday in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

Thus, temperatures ranging between 46 and 48 ° C are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Kénitra, Ouezzane, Larache, Rhamna, Marrakech, El Kelâa des Sraghna, Fquih Ben Salah and Settat, indicated the DGM in a red level alert bulletin.

During the weekend, the provinces of Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Guercif, Meknes, El Hajeb, Khemisset, Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Témara, Khouribga, Khénifra, Béni Mellal, Berrechid, El Jadida, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Sidi Bennour, Benslimane, Youssoufia and Chichaoua, Zagora, Tata, Taroudant, Smara, Assa-Zag and the interior of the provinces of Essaouira, Safi, Tanger-Assilah, Agadir-Idaoutanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Boujdour, Aousserd, Oued Eddahab, Tan Tan, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Tarfaya and Laâyoune will experience temperatures varying between 41 and 46°C, according to an orange level alert bulletin.
