JAKARTA International BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 is back for its 19th edition. One of the most prestigious jazz festivals in Indonesia is scheduled to take place on 24 – 26 May 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran. This year the Java Jazz Festival carries the theme ‘Embracing Unity Through Music’.
In a press conference in Senayan, Jakarta, the President Director of PT. Java Festival Production, Dewi Gontha, admitted that she was happy to be able to once again greet music lovers, especially in Indonesia, through the Java Jazz Festival. He admitted that he had no idea that the Java Jazz Festival was approaching two decades.
“We are proud to announce the 19th edition of the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival this year. “Presenting a music festival with a combination of performances from leading artists and newcomers, we want to create a harmonious musical spirit,” said Dewi, Wednesday (20/3).
Dewi explained that Indonesian and foreign musicians will have the opportunity to give their best performances in front of the audience. 11 stages spread across the festival area have also been prepared to accommodate Indonesian and foreign musicians.
Through the theme ‘Embracing Unity Through Music’, this year’s Java Jazz Festival wants to prove that music can unite everyone, regardless of age. Therefore, at this year’s Java Jazz Festival, a series of guest stars from various eras were presented, so that everyone could enjoy music according to their individual preferences
“Our tagline this year is Embracing Unity Through Music, because we feel that up to now, people will always be united with music. He doesn’t care what his background is, doesn’t matter his age, what is certain is that he will always watch something they both really like. “Therefore, the line-up of musicians is designed to appeal to all groups, with visitors able to choose what they want to see based on preference or mood,” explained Dewi.

Present as the main performers at the 2024 Java Jazz Festival will be jazz legends and various contemporary sensational musicians, including the jazz singer-songwriter from Iceland who is also the winner of the 2024 Grammy Award, namely Laufey.
Legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker will also appear as a special guest with Scatter The Atoms That Remain, a group led by drummer Franklin Kiermyer with musical director Davis Whitfield that promises a dynamic blend of jazz, funk and hip-hop.
Other talented musicians who will be attending include the versatile singer and songwriter from Australia, Rai Thistlethwayte, and the rising British jazz group, Yakul.

For Korean music lovers, 92914 (pronounced: Gu i Gu iL Sa) will make its debut at the Java Jazz Festival. The South Korean duo who play captivating electronic jazz fusion are ready to greet their fans in Jakarta.
“The names of the performers that we have chosen follow those that we think can reach the market in all circles. So there are indeed performers who cater to young people and there are performers who we present to cater to our loyal visitors who have always been there since the beginning of our existence. “So they can still get entertainment appropriate for their age,” explained Dewi.
For domestic musicians, the Java Jazz Festival has prepared a lineup of talented musicians such as Project Pop, ArumtaLa, Allan Andrsn & Key B, Ardhito Pramono, Arya Novanda, Bilal Indrajaya, Casté, and Indro Hardjodikoro Feat. Indra Qadarsih.
Not to forget, the female singer who performed at the Coldplay Jakarta concert, Rahmania Astrini, will also appear at the 2024 Java Jazz Festival. I Idgitaf to Barry Likumahuwa & The Rhythm Service: “Salute The Rollies” will also appear there.
