► Angela Merkel’s former chancellery minister has lost at least 20 kilos since the beginning of the year and starved down.
The CDU politician posted a photo on Instagram at the weekend that was taken in his Gießen constituency. And earned plenty of compliments: “Great weight loss. Great!”, “You definitely look healthier once more.”
Braun kept the secret of his lost pounds to himself when asked by BILD. Only revealed this much: “As a doctor, I am aware that being overweight poses a particular health risk with advancing age. In the run-up to my 50th birthday, it was important to me to reduce my health risks.”
Braun celebrates his fiftieth birthday on October 18th.
